Ok thanks for the info, iv been told that for gaming x4 CPU is not really needed and that if I did want it I can switch my x2 to a x4 with the asus v Evo mobo and also get 1333 ddr3 instead of the 1600ddr3 and overclock it to 2000ddr3 and save another £20

Well majority of games still dun leverage past >2 cores correct but in case they do at least a X3 + OC would give ya a better playable experience ^^ I would look to hit a HD 6850 for a 500 quid gamer before anything else tbh :p

Ok then 6850 seems like a better option as it's around £40 more than the 6770 and I don't want to go over budget would I be better to get the 6850 and only 4GB of ram?
