Monitor blink says " auto adjustment in progress"

cooler master 460 watt psu

monitor: HPw1907

Since last night my monitor randomly blinks and says "auto adjustment in progress".
When I shut down and then starts after few minutes it runs ok for about 30-40 mins but then again starts blinking.

Is there any way i can disable auto adjustment on my monitor.

That sounds like the monitor is failing.

I replaced the vga cable with a dvi cable and auto adjustment stops

OK, then the VGA circuit has failed. I had that happen on a monitor two years ago. After I switched to the DVI connection it worked fine, and still works fine today.

Thank you both so much!! My display would not move to the left and auto adjust kept flashing. I searched for weeks for an answer and tried a million different things. I was on the verge of ripping my hair out when finally I came across this post. I don't have DVI/displayport but this made me realize the VGA cable could be bad. I switched from and old one to a new one and it automagically fixed itself. I would have never thought that was the answer. Thank you thank you thank you
