Hi
I'm trying to build a computer for around £500, but its my first time building one so I thought I should ask for some advice first. I would appreciate any help anyone could give me :)

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Most likely around 2-3 weeks from now.

BUDGET RANGE:
£450 - £550

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, watching films/TV, surfing the internet

PARTS NOT REQUIRED:
keyboard, mouse, monitor

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: www.amazon.co.uk or any cheaper alternatives

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: UK

PARTS PREFERENCES: none

OVERCLOCKING: No

SLI OR CROSSFIRE:
No

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: While I would like to be able to play games, I dont mind playing them on low settings, as long as the frame rate lets it be playable :D

---

The list of parts i'm considering are:

Processor -- AMD Athlon II X3 440
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Processor-AMD-Athlon-440-Socket...

Graphics card -- Asus Radeon HD 5750 Formula PCI-E 2 1GB Graphics card
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-Radeon-Formula-PCI-E-Graph...

Motherboard -- ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO
http://www.amazon.co.uk/M4A785TD-V-EVO-Motherboard-Sock...

RAM -- CMV4GX3M2A1333C9 - 4GB (2x2GB) Corsair DDR3 PC3-10666 (1333)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CMV4GX3M2A1333C9-DDR3-S...

HDD -- Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001IKKCLS/ref=s9_si...

Optic drive -- Sony AD-7241S-0B 24x Internal DVDRWRAM SATA Black LightScribe
http://www.amazon.co.uk/OCZ-500W-StealthXStream-Power-S...

PSU -- OCZ 500W StealthXStream Power Supply
http://www.amazon.co.uk/OCZ-500W-StealthXStream-Power-S...

Case
-- Asus TA-M11 Midi Tower Case
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-TA-M11-Midi-Tower-Case/dp/...

I think in total they would come to about £550 on amazon, including shipping and windows 7

The part im most unsure about is the power supply. A friend told me that it should be good enough, but wasn't entirely certain. I think i saw it reccomended on another website, but aside from that i havnt been able to find much information on it.

Also with the graphics card, im not too sure its the best choice for the price, but I dont want to pay too much above £100.

Any advice would be much appreciated :)

Great, thanks a lot :D
I think i may use a less expensive graphics card, but I will definitely consider using that one, since the total cost is less.
