Hi I'm building a desktop for the first time, and I was wondering if I could get some advice/help.

BUDGET RANGE: €600, £515, $740 (at current market prices. will be paying in € though)

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming - SC2 Preferably on pretty high settings. Diablo 3 when it comes out. Other games. Rest would just be general stuff.

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Gonna recycle mouse/keyboard and hopefully pick up a second hand monitor somewhere for cheap. If I can bring down the cost enough I could add a monitor into my budget. Got an old XP disk that I'll probably use. Can't really afford to pay for vista or 7.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Anywhere that will ship to Ireland. and are the only ones I know.

OVERCLOCKING: Maybe, dunno much about it. I'd probably put less chance of problems and more longevity over a small bit more performance though.

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe, dunno much about it. If its cheaper, sure.

MONITOR RESOLUTION: Whatever I can get for cheap, upgrading to something decent when I have the money. Again, if I can save a bit on the build, might include a nice monitor if theres a bargain.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Scrounged up a build by going through other peoples stuff. Dunno how good it is though, and if theres anything missing.

I personally would drop the phenom and pick up an Athlon II X3
or Athlon II X4

Also, you can save like 20 on the video card if you pic up the asus 5770 because it has 2 DVI ports instead of one hdmi and one dvi and if your getting a cheaper monitor then hdmi isnt going to happen. overall good build though
