Problems with moniter al1916w

Hi, my monitor would not come on or display a picture unless I jiggled the power cord. I brought a new cord and it still kept doing it. The green light would come on but no picture. would take me ages to get it going by unplugging and plugging cord back into the back of it. I have borrowed a monitor and that is working fine so the problem is not with the computer.
would appreciate your advise

Fix the power jack or power supply in the monitor.
