Gaming Monitor for under $300

Hello,

I'm building a new gaming rig and am having a hell of a time figuring out which monitor to get. I've read several other threads on here but I still just can't make my mind up. Hoping that some of you guys can help me out.

Some computer specs that might help:
CPU: i5-2500k
MOBO: Asus p8p67 pro B3
Mem: 8Gb Corsair Vengeance
VidCard: Sapphire Radeon 7950 OC

I've got about $300 to spend.

I'm considering the following and would like to know what you'd put your vote behind, or if you'd go with something different:

Asus VE248H
Samsung S24A300B
Asus ML248H
Viewsonic VX2450wm
Viewsonic VX2453mh

What say you?

For a common gaming solution i would take this one:
VE248H

if you would like to improve that to 120hz what will allow you to see 120frames per second, since you got a 7950 will be no problem in most of games;

if you are looking into 3D for AMD just buy one of those WITH GLASSES, they will work with AMD graphics in 3D.

but i got one of those and i love it (because i was looking for 3D solution Nvidia):

not just for the 3D Experience, but playing 2D at 120hz is awesome.

I'm not really interested at all in 3D gaming, so I'm not sure that any of those other monitors would be for me.

I was leaning on the VE248H, but now I'm kind of hung up on the fact that here is no HDMI on it. I'm now leaning towards the following, but I can't find any reviews or anything on it:

I've seen it in action and it seemed really nice, and it got recommended to me from someone else I know...I'm just hoping that I could get a bit more feedback on it before I pull the trigger. Hoping that there's no major issues that I haven't heard of that would destroy my gaming experience with it.

Well the nice of those screens, is the 120hz refresh rate, not only the 3D, 120hz is something good to think about before buying a gaming screen, i bought one and i can tell the differences gaming are outstanding.

Well, like you said, that Phillips looks good, but i also never saw that and don't like philips for monitors.

Hdmi is not something nedded unless you don't have any other sound output and since the phillips don't have sound why would you need HDMI?.

I was more hoping for HDMI as a sort of bonus feature so that I could use the monitor with my 360 or PS3...not a dealbreaker though I guess.

And with all of that said, I think I've narrowed my options down to the following (listed in order of interest)

1. Viewsonic VX2453mh

2. Viewsonic VX2450wm

3. Asus Ve248h

4. Asus ML248

Probably going to go purchase the VX2453mh later today unless somebody tells me its a bad idea.

Ricardois - I looked for some 120hz monitors but it doesn't look like that will work for me. I ended up switching out one of my harddrives a grabbed an Intel 520 SSD 120GB so that cut into my monitor budget a bit.
