Thanks for reading the thread. Parts I am thinking of at the moment are:

CPU : Intel i5 750 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/172755 £150.69

Mobo:Asus Maximus III http://www.ebuyer.com/product/174625 £172.99

Ram: OCZ 4gb 1600mhz 7-7-7-20 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/173108 £104.29

GPU: Sapphire 5870 Vapor X http://www.shop.bt.com/products/sapphire-technology-ati... £329.98

HSF: Coolermaster Hyper 212 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS... £19.99

HDDs: Samsung Spinpoint 500GB (x2) F3 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/146252 £75.56

Case: Coolermaster CM 690 II Advanced http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA... £85.99

DVDRW: Sony 24x DVDRW http://www.ebuyer.com/product/165168 £19.15

PSU: Antec Earthwatts 750 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/161664 £76.74

Total £1035.38

My main queries/concerns are:

1) Will the vapour X GPU fit into the CM 690 II? (I know full tower is probably better, but I dont want too big a case because PC is in my room/additional ££)

2) Is the 750W PSU capable of supporting 2 5870s for future crossfire, and also clean enough to overclock to 3.4-3.6?

3) There is also £90 G.Skill ripjaws 1600mhz cl 7-8-7-24 (£15 cheaper), would you stick with the 7-7-7-20 OCZ stuff? (happy with previous OCZ, never tried G.skill).

4) Is the mobo a good buy? Its actually not much more expensive than the cheapest 8x link mobo i could find, yet has sound card included and seems good quality.

Thanks.

All looks good the PSU should be powerful enough, but wouldnt hurt to go to 850w model. the vapor x will fit fine, the ram is fine and is a good buy and mobo is also good, go ahead :)

This is of the CM 690 II Advanced with a GTX 260 in it. Pic That card is 10.5" long, and apparently the same length as the 5870 Vapor X. http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1120/1/ Remember that the PCI-E connectors will be coming much more from the front of the case, altho I would have thought there'd still be plenty of room.

Personally I would save myself £15 and get the G.Skill, but nothing wrong with the OCZ.

Here's a review of the Antec Earthwatts 750.
I think it will certainly be able to provide enough power for two 5870s and an overclocked i5.
