More about 1080p ips ips monitor
  1. ZR2740w, however, you will need a pretty powerful graphics card if you want to play games at native resolution. Like a GTX 570 or HD 6970.
  2. I had play some game like Starcraft 2, pes 12, migth and magic 6 and 2k12. all in max setting with 2560 x 1400 resolution. No lag even with just stock ati 6870. My cpu is intel 2700k oc to 4.5ghz.
  3. Then no need to change.

If you were to play FPS games like Metro 2033, Crysis 2, etc. then you would want a better video card.
  4. i not really into fps, maybe call of duty but that game always don't need high rig to play it.
  5. For gaming you really wouldn't want to play on 2 monitors. You really would want 3 so you don't get the bezel right down the middle.

In which case, I would recommend you go with the IPS.
