Brand new LG monitor no monitor cover

Usually when I buy monitors they come with a plastic cover taped to the monitor to protect the screen, but this one from Best Buy did not, the LG IPS236V. Does this mean the monitor could be used or a return? There was plastic all over everything else except the screen.

bestbuy has been known to put opened products back on the shelf provided they appear to be NIB quality (non defective, not tampered with). normally its a good idea to check to see that the factory seal is intact.

as far as it having a plastic cover or not...impossible to tell unless you get some pictures of an "unboxing" like some review sites have.

if it looks brand new, has absolutely zero micro-scratches or fingerprints then you're probably okay. if you are that OCD just return it and buy one at a different store and if it arrives the same way its NIB.

Usually there is some form of cover film over the screen.

I recently bought LG D2342P http://www.lg.com/us/computer-products/monitors/LG-led-monitor-D2342P-PN.jsp from bestbuy but mine is covered with plastic cover. You better contact bestbuy C/S and ask what happened.
