Hi, first time poster here ^_^ Was just looking for some advice on a new build as I've been out of the loop a couple of years and all lost now with the random numbers that hte companies seem to enjoy putting on their products. Well to make things easier I'll use the template from the sticky, here's hoping I don't have too many typos =D

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Within the Month BUDGET RANGE: £700-£950

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Image Editing, Web development, Gaming

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Mouse, Keyboard, Monitor, Hard drives, Optical Drives, Network cards

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: www.ebuyer.com www.novatech.com www.aria.com COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: United Kingdom

PARTS PREFERENCES: Full tower case needed, mobo has to have IDE and SATA connectors [Yes it is a bit old ><] Minimum of 6GB ram.

OVERCLOCKING: Yes SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 3841x1200

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Case needs removable dust covers as the room gets very dusty, and would be nice if it looked good too =D

Only part I've really looked at with any certainty is the i7 920, but other than that I put myself fully in your hands

Thanks in Advance - Surreallemming

If you plan to use your computer for professional needs, stay away from OCing. While it's possible to find a very stable OC setup, stability will be affected and may affect your workflow at very crucial times.

Even if you're not sure about the parts you may have chosen, mind sharing what you think will work with that i7 920?
