I'm going to pick LG IPS236V monitor as my display. Before, i actually going to pick up this monitor, i had downloaded the user guide. I found that the HDMI port from the monitor are not compatible the with video cards on the my pc. This because the HDMI port from the monitor are meant for AV gadgets like xbox, ps3 and more. I wonder that whether the HDMI port can work for MSI 5770 HAWX card?

Here's the user guide's link:

Any comments are appreciated.

Ignore those instructions! They are just using that as an example of the types of equipment that might have an HDMI port.

HOWEVER, using the HDMI port will not give you a better picture than using the DVI port. The only advantage is that HDMI will also send sound if you have your video and sound cards set up properly.

I had pick the monitor on this afternoon. Using DVI port, the display is crystal clear and every games run fine under 1080p. But still i haven't connect the HDMI monitor to HDMI MSI 5770 HAWX. Forget to mention, i using 5770 crossfire and onboard realtek chipset audio.
