Christmas is a long time away :p

Newer hardware will be out by then such as the new DX11 cards and also as you said prices for today's hardware will be much lower. Do your shopping around when christmas is almost here.

I suggest building it yourself though. It's cheaper and you can pick the parts that you want.

thanks man, but its so hard to not pick wish list lol, but in the end yes what i am doing is pointless because all the prices will change and unfortunately if those new cards come out, il want them but i doubt il be able to make system under 1000 english pounds with them :/

I stronly disagree :p . £1000 would be very doable, even now you can do a Core I7 860 build for £600, that would leave you £400 for the graphics card. I'm pretty sure you can buy one of the new graphics card with that.

By christmas, those prices will lower so you will have even more to spend on the graphics card.
