If I were to go for an amd processor I was thinking of going with a MSI 790gx g65 or 790fx gd70

I was thinking of waitng fo the ati dx11 card but either using the gx board or asking if friends have a graphics card their not using.

What I want to know, is the I5-750 better than a 955be or 965be considering the amd cpus seem to have better value for money motherboards.

THe psu I was thinking of was corsair tx750 because It has the right connectors it is probably overpowered for this build.
(if suggesting a psu without right connectors to crossfire remember to add connectors aswell)

So all help is welcome whether be it what's better value the amd processors or i5-750 or a build list for £520-600

you might consider a faster drive then you already have the green series is aimed more at htpc's so it is slower then the average and you might have to get cpu cooler bracket for the i5

I bought the hard drive because it was one of the cheapest 1tb drive and was quieter, and since its always purchased it would be a bit of a hassle to replace it good idea though.

I'm going use your builds as a base as there very good. Though I don't know about i5 mobo since eventually I want to crossfire I thing the 4x pcie connector may be to slow for the additional 16x slot.

I'm going to borrow a friends graphics card so I can wait for the ati 5850 or 5870.

Here's the i5 build I think Ill go for from ebuyer
LG GH22NS50 22x SATA DVD±RW Dual Layer & RAM Black Bare Drive £15.99
Intel Core i5 750 2.66GHz Socket LGA1156 8MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed Processor £149.99
ASUS P7P55D PRO iP55 Socket LGA 1156 8 channel audio ATX Motherboard 173450 £126.84
Kingston 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz HyperX Memory Kit CL7 1.5V £72.54
Corsair 750W TX PSU - 120mm Fan, 80+% Efficiency, Single +12V Rail £89.70

£455.06

Though I may go for a similar build from cclonline because I think this ram maybe better
