Spot on my hp monitor whats wrong

Hello, I have a dime sized black spot at the bottom of my less than 1 year old HP flatscreen monitor. What is this and can I get rid of it?

Less than 1 yr should be under warranty, exchange it. LCDs are Liquid (the L part), sounds like you have some leaking crystals. Bit like a down comforter with pockets, if a pocket breaks, the down inside it starts to move around losing it's shape. Could also be excessive heat that causes this.

Well, whatever it is, it's getting smaller. It's almost non-extent now.
