I really wouldn't go 19" for gaming. I've used a 19" for like 15 years and finally got around to ordering a 24" widescreen. 19's generally max out at 1280x1024 when games are built for higher resolutions. At 19", your ui and everything on the screen get's squished together. Lots of games, Diablo 3 comes to mind, won't show you enough of the 'playing field' as you could get on 1920x1080 (which is also 1080p.) I borrowed a friends widescreen once and I got so freaking mad I didn't get one sooner. You can get much larger screens for a much lower price than 19's too. 24" I just snagged off newegg was like $129 with $100 off and was rated one of the best monitors of 2014.

Dell E2414Hr Black 24" 5ms Widescreen LED Feel free to check it out.
