24" VESA Monitor for Multi-display

Hey guys,

I'm planning on purchasing a Fanatec Rennsport Cockpit and need to source a 24" VESA monitor to use in a triple multi-display array.
1. Preferably under $400 each but would consider up to $500 if the quality increase is significant.
2. As mentioned, needs to be VESA. (Is that pretty common?)
3. As thin a bezel as possible.

VESA compatible LCD monitors are fairly uncommon with the exception of LCD monitors with LED backlighting. These LCD monitors with LED backlight (mis-labeled as LED monitors) generally do not have VESA mounting holes because the necessary plating for structural integrity probably makes the monitor thicker than what most people will want for a LCD monitor with LED backlight.


The 24" Dell U2410H has VESA holes, however it is currently selling for $600 (excluding shipping & tax). They do have sales from time, so this can be drop to $500. It uses a H-IPS panel which explains the somewhat high price.

The other option is to go with cheaper 24" monitors that uses the less expensive TN panels. However, the more off angle the monitor, the more the colors tends to shift (some more than others).

Here's an example of viewing angles for the Samsung P2450H that uses a TN panel (does not have VESA mounting holes). It is actually considered a little better than average for a TN panel:

Here's an example from the LG Flatron W2443T. This is considered very good for a TN panel monitor. This monitor does have VESA mounting holes, but it is not sold in the USA; only Europe.
