Adjust Monitor Colors

Hey folks.
I have a 3 year old Dell 2407WFP(one of the first gen versions), as well a brand new Dell U2410. I'm interested in getting the colors on both to match up with more accuracy than what my eyes can do... Is there any software out there thats free, that'll help me match the color temps and what not?

Also, does anyone with a U2410 know how to get the "capacitative touch buttons" to work? I tried Dell's troubleshooting.. powering off monitor, unplugging / replugging power back in, then powering on.. Did not work.

Any tips in either case?

You need reference to standard colours -- one UK brand used to issue printed Pantone cards with their computers so you could do just that. You can bet graphic web artists use a tool like that
