Compatibility 2.5´´ hdd on motherboard ASUS

I have bought a hdd toshiba of 500gb 2.5´´ for laptops, i buy an asus motherboard specifically a p8h77-m can i connect that hdd to the motherboard and work like a 3.5´´hdd? will i have any problems?

A 2.5" HDD is the same as a 3.5" HDD - just in a smaller package. You won't have any problems.
