I am in need of a new tv/monitor.. i sit about a foot away from my monitor.. and watch movies about 5 feet. I would like a full 1080 set as I will be buying a bluray player too. The final contestants are...

BenQ E2400HD Glossy Black 24" 5ms/2ms(GTG) HDMI 16:9 Full 1080P Widescreen LCD Monitor - $329
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014181

SAMSUNG 32" 1080p LCD HDTV - $757
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16889102221

SHARP AQUOS 32" 16:9 6ms 1080p LCD HDTV LC32D62U - $799
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16889101108

SHARP AQUOS 37" 16:9 6ms 1080p LCD HDTV LC-37D64U - $925
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16889101156

Basically, I am open to other suggestions - preferably from newegg as I am ordering a few other things and I have the interest free option. I would also like some advice as to size and resolution and how it would perform. I do not play games and I often watch ripped movies.

Any response is greatly appreciated.

Well, the BenQ is simply a PC monitor. It does not have a TV Turner so you will not be able to watch TV on it unless you buy a TV turner card for the PC. Also sitting 5 feet away from a 24" monitor is not ideal (at least to me).

At 5 feet I would say that the 37" Aquos is a good choice. The Aquos line generally had better image quality and very good black levels in the past. But that was the past and it could have been limited to select models. Also Samsung has not be standing still so I wouldn't know which 32" LCD HDTV is better.

thanks for the response jag.. i actually went with one of these:

brilliant monitor.. superb price too.. highly recommend it.

I should of stated but it's primary use is a monitor, i only watch movies about 5% of the time on this thing.. although that will change as i got a blu ray drive and surround sound =)

next will be a plasma/lcd tv when i remodel this room.

again thanks for the post, appreciate it.
