It seems that Tom's has been neglecting this product category (in favor, perhaps, of needless site redesigns - sorry) lately. The irony is, the Tom's reviews were always the best - they would always verify the manufacturers' claims of response time, inform us of the use of overdrive technology, inform us of what panels were used (the 6 bit vs 8 bit - I don't recall the nomenclature anymore; the latter has much better color reproduction).
It seems with the latest Vista-related craze to adapt HDMI interfaces at least an update is in order. Or the trend towards wide format displays which seems to be here to stay as practically everyone is transitioning towards 16:9 aspect. Heck, the best all around reference panel at Tom's, Viewsonic VP922 is no longer made in that flavor!
By the way, does anyone know of any other, more up-to-date sites with a similar quality of reviews?
