Antec 1200, Seagate Momentus® XT

Hello I have bought a Seagate Momentus® XT Solid-State Hybrid Drive for my computer. The case I have is a Antec 1200, on the website it says it can hold 1 SSD HDD. I am unable to find where I would install this hard drive.

Seagete momentus xt is a 2.5 inch drive. Get a 2.5 inch to 3.5 inch bracket and put it in the 3.5 inch bay.

But really? A seagete momentus xt on a desktop. This is a really poor decision. You are much better off with a small boot ssd and a large stoarge HDD. Its about double the price but you also get more then double for performance and storage space.

I seem to remember it being screwed into, or inserted into the bottom front of the case. I went looking for my instructions for a different Antec case (which also had support for a 2.5" SSD) and couldn't find any.

However, I do recommend the adapter bracket mentioned above anyway.

Don't worry about it being a "poor decision"; everyone is different. If you ever decide to get an SSD for Windows you'll discover that you'll want a minimum of 80GB but 120GB is recommended.

I had a 60GB SSD and Windows 7 x64 installed, updated, programs etc and I had 35GB used (fine you say). Well, I don't have games on it but with continued updates, auto System backups etc I had to get a second drive and now I'm at 75GB, so get a 120GB drive from the start.

Yeah I guess everyone has a different setup. I save my backup on a HDD to save my SSD space, so you may want to try that. I will have my games installed again on the SSD once exam finish which will probably be close to your figure of 75GB. FSX itself use about 30GB!
