I don't think we will see 24x DVD+-RW. 16x mighe be end, at best we can see 20x.

I'm bit dissapointed with LiteOn price. I expected it to be $250 or lower than $300. But it still costs less compared to Sony DRU-500A

Sure, me too don't like Sony optical drives; I'm very happy to see more than one player in DVD± burner market.

I hope LiteOn will bring the price to sub $100 range within 2005, so that I can buy one

I'll be anxious to see some reviews. I saw on CDRInfo that DVD±RW/DVD-RAM drives are coming in the next month or two as well.

disregard.

I thought the web was phukked but I am obviously a phukkin retard that is highly skilled in the arts of typo.

Yeah, no matter how good DVD-RAM technology is, it won't do any good if it's not compatible with most DVD-ROM drives and standalone DVD players.

Likewise, aren't blue-ray drives going to come along in the next few years(???) and make all this +/- technology mute as well! I see no reason to try to incorporate the RAM technology, and add to the quagmire. On with the show!!!
