i cant stretch any further, upgrading from a HD7770 looking for something that can cope with metro max settings, the 7870 is one im looking at and might push it to a GTX660ti if i can get any extra cash but please recommend me the best card for money system specs are

FX-6200 standard 3.8ghz clock
gigabyte 78lmt-usb3 motherboard
16gb 1333mhz ram
1tb hard drive
standard cd/dvd/rw drive
4 case fans
600 watt xigmatek psu

thanks :)

You cannot really play Metro at max settings. Unless you're using a small monitor.

GTX 660 Ti/HD 7950 would be what I'd recommend.

You mean the Metro interface (Win 8) or the game Metro 2033?
You should have no problems sourcing a GTX660Ti for under £250 Uk (I assume you are here in good old Blighty ;)).
Either way, well need to know your monitor resolution before making any solid suggestions.
A few names to shop at: Dabs, Overclockers, Novatech, Aria, Scan, Misco Pixmania and E-buyer.

if anyone knows wherei can get the 660ti from with the free bundle of borderlands 2 and assassins creed 3 that would be great too :p

If you're sticking with the 720 monitor then the HD7850 or GTX660 (non Ti) will max out even Metro 2033 at that resolution.
I'm getting decent performance at DX11 very high ith a HD7950 at 1080 BTW.
If you want to look a little furthe ahead and puch towards the top end of your budget the GTX660Ti or HD7950 are going to keep going, even at 1080 resolutions when lower cards will begin to struggle.

aye kinda wanting to overkill it ready for future releases like crysis 3 :p

Then you'll obviously want as much clout as possible-something in the GTX660Ti or HD7950 range-although either is going to be mad overkill at 720 rez.
Check out the names I've listed, you might be surpried what you turn up, just remember: Shop around, do n't jump on the first 'bargain' you see and pay by credit card.
Mind you, it'll be hard to beat the card linked to by Sunius:

You know, I'd actually suggest going the Nvidia route on this. I own a 7970m. (Rebadged 7870) And Metro 2033 does not like it... The game doesn't support the graphics card, lags like hell, and crashes quite often... Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that Metro 2033 is one of the games that uses PhysX.

So yeah, I would suggest the GTX 660(ti)
