Will GeForce® GTX 650 work in pci express 2.0

Hello,
i am wondering if i can upgrade my graphics card to a GeForce® GTX 650 it says that it need a pci express 3.0 but i only have a spare 2.0 500W PSU Intel i5 2500 2nd generation processor. 4 cores running at 3.3Ghz. Thanks :)

Yes, it will work. However, it will oly work up to PCI Express 2.0 speeds

Not sure what else you have in the rig, I'd run your build through the NewEgg power calculator just to make sure :)

PCI-Ex16 2.0 doesn't bottleneck ANY of the current PCI-E 3.0 compatible cards...

there's no point in mentioning 2.0 speeds vs 3.0 unless you can show a difference. the point is really moot. pci-e speeds has been more of a marketing gimmick as far as gpu usage.

Considering most people like to take their rigs through benchmarks such as 3DMark to guage performance improvements... Hence the reason for said benchmark suites...
