Two (2) Questions:

- How can a Sun work station monitor be adapted to function on a PC?

- Does anyone have a source for ckt boards to repair non functional
monitors?

Regards - Steve

I assume you meant what kind of " input does the monitor have". Anyhow, I don't know, but I can get a 21" one free. Have no other info on monitor. Using an ATI video board on my PC.

Thanks for reply

goto www.monitorworld.com and check your model with thier database, you'll prolly need a sync adapter (SUN monitors require composite HV sync input, PC VGA cards give out a separate sync output.

and also check if it's a fixed frequenct monitor (chances are that it is, and that's not good)

They also require Sync on green, which can be selected if you download powerstrip. If you just select composite sync it wont work, you need both of these. The problem is that windows wont default to composite sync/sync on green so you must start the computer with a normal monitor, then select composite sync and sync on green from powerstrip then swap the monitors over for it to work.
