Hi im hoping for asmuch help as i can get with this please, i had a EVGA 560TI Superclocked DS that was great but didnt even last a month so ive sent it back and getting a refund becouse i want something better. Anyway the cards ive found are either GTX 570, HD 7850 or the HD 7870 what do you suggest i buy? i know of the bunch the 7870 is the best and performs to the standards or above the GTX 580 for a cheaper price but i cant seem to find any but 1 under £260 and thats my budget at a push becouse ive got my gf's birthday coming soon and im buying her a puppy :D , was hoping i could Crossfire the GPU in the future when its started getting stressed or out dated.

Gainward GeForce GTX 570 Golden Sample

That would be my choice. Or wait to see what the 670 is like when it comes

My advise would be to save up another 10 to 20 quid and get either a sapphire or xfx 7870.

Seems to be a reference design so the card is the same as all reference cards with a sticker on it.

Both these cards seem to have very nice overclocks on them for a little less money.

As for the Phantom, they're good cards but the memory isn't clocked very high and i've heard they are a little power hungry.

Btw what is the better GTX 570 between the 2 gainwards? the goes like hell and the phantom, the stats both look the same other than the GLH edition is 800mhz not 750mhz but people are saying the phantom is better? i dont get it

The phantom is a lot quieter and cooler. That's about the only difference. Also the phantom is slightly over a 2 slot card so you can't put 2 right next to each other AFAIK. (But don't quote me on that.)

The only problem i have with the sapphire is a guy on youtube told me he has had 2 of them and after 15 mins it sounds like a cable is stuck inside the fan and they overheat

Is there any diffirence with these cards at all other than the brand name? and obviously some have dual fans. Ill OC it when it comes

The reference ones are the same cards except brand but can have different warranties &/or different accessories ie crossfire cables or VGA/DVI adapters. The nonreferance saphire one has different cooling but the same board inside it.

So basicaly they are charging more money for the brand name, i might aswell buy the £250 7870 if they are all the same my case is cool and well vented so shouldnt be a problem.
