Hi

Ive been leaning towards a VTX 2GB 6950 i saw on ebay for £205 but without using VTX before i dont know what their cards are like.

Can anyone suggest me any other cards for this price range?

It will be used for all modern games including BF3

either a 6950 or a 560ti, id lean towards the 6950 myself but make sure u get a 2gb one, not much difference in price, but much more future-proof

there is no such thing as future proof.
what are you planning on doing with this card? If you have a multiple monitor setup or plan on running anything at a higher resolution than 1920x1080 then the 2gb 6950 is the way to go .
if you plan on running a single monitor at 1920x1080 or lower then i would recommend the 560Ti. it is a great overclocker.

battlefield 3 uses 1.3gb of graphics memory currently at 1080p, so a extra 1gb of memory wont cost much more, but will be better in future games with higher-res textures

how do you know that? by the beta? thats hardly anything to judge by seeing as it isnt the finished game.....

the only thing ive seen my gpu use more than 1g of dedicated is metro with sampling maxed, and that was 1090mb.
granted currently caspian border on the beta uses around 1.3, but i still dont see how that will stand up when the full game comes out optimized

Hi guys
I was looking into getting 3 monitor setup but not sure i can justify/afford the cost.

My current monitor is limited to 1920 x 1080 resolution

Was looking to push BF3 up to ultra.

Ive read reviews stating each one is better than the other but i just dont know.

The reviews seem to be leaning towards the 560 ti ive seen both cards for around £200 in the 2GB models

if you want ultra on 3 screens with 1920x1080, then you will need the xtra vram, and the 6970 2gb would be more along the lines of what you will need. the 560Ti in sli will more than meet your needs for 3 screens

Picked up a 2GB VTX 6950 on ebay for £180 + £10 shipping.
Good deal!

Will see how it runs when it arrives... or might just sell it on for profit
