ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

I'm considering a 5850 but not sure if will bottleneck the system or not. I do not overclock my system and no intention of it. Motherboard is not sli or crossfire compatible due to size of monitor 19in so that's not needed not needed. The 9800gt is starting to have a hard time running latest games at max settings now and would like input before I get a new card thanks for yer time :)

More about upgrading 9800gt 250 budget
  1. a 5850 is a powerful card and can max games with your cpu at res of 1900X1200

with your res a 5750 or 5770 would be plenty
  2. For your resolution a HD5770 will handle every thing very well.
  3. the 5750 can handle your res pretty well and your 9800Gt should be good for you

    a

5770 would perform better with games a 5850 is unneeded

    5770

  4. The 9800Gt is starting to struggle may I ask how long wold it be before i have to upgrade a 5770 and would i see much performance dif?
  5. sorry double post cant edit messages for some reason. But the reason i mentioned the 5850 is because i wont be able to upgrade the pc for a couple of years.
  6. yes a 25% more performance

if you want to upgrade your moniter too then get a 5850
  7. I'm not to fussed about saving money as i want this to be a lasting upgrade.

So how long would it be before i would have to upgrade the 5770. Also I have looked at both http://www.overclockers.co.uk/ and www.cclcomputers.co.uk they both have a very big selection of cards what one would you recommend out of all of them are they all just same card with dif Manufacturers? I know you have linked one but you linked the cheapest one I think and Im looking for the best one that i can get for my money.
  8. If you want a lasting upgrade then a 5850 is a good choice plus 1GB is more or less the standard.
