Get PS£ to work through GPU

Here is my situation, I have a screen and use it with my computer with a DVI cable, I was recently given a PS3 and want to use it with this screen (the screen has no HDMI). I can't get the PS3 to work using and HDMI-DVI cable. So is there anyway to input the PS3 into the Graphics card with a HDMI cableand then output it with the DVI cable to the screen, or will i need to get a input PCI card or something along those lines? Any suggestions will be helpful

if you input the PS3 into the graphics card then the PS3 won't work

you can try a different adapter but other than that you will have to connect it to a TV or through analog
