I have been doing a lot of reading to which card would be good for my system, and kinda have an idea of what i will get for my money...

NB. I will have to buy a new PSU if I am to upgrade my graphics card so that will be extra cost - That will leave me with around £100 to spend on a graphics card (give or take a tenner)

I have seen a:
Gainward GeForce GTS 250 700Mhz 1GB PCI-E 2.0 HDMI Green for £100
Sapphire HD5750 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 40NM for £112

Just wanted some opinions from you guys....?
Anything else out there worth considering....?
Is there any particular make of card that leads the race in terms of quality...?
Are there any issues I should be aware of when choosing a card...?

My Rig:
HP6235uk (Win7 x64)
Intel i5 Processor 750 2.66Ghz
4GB DDR3
HDD 640GB
NVIDIA GeForce GT220 1024Mb
PSU 300w

Thanks in advance

they are equal in terms of performence but HD 5750 wont run DX 11 games good. Itll barely run them at all. Go for the GTS 250, its actually better. In terms of power and stuff.

You have to start posting proof of statements like this! Other wise you will loose all credibility!
OP get the HD5750 for its power efficiency and DX11 compatibility.

You know this because?
They can fit CryENGINE 3 on a PS3/Xbox 360. The PS3 uses the RSX based on the 6800 Ultra with a 7800GTX's performance, a 5750 has way more power than a 7800GTX.

key sorry man, I looked around @ some 3Dmark benchmarks which is mostly bullshit but still the HD 5750 totally destroyed the GTS 250 @ the benches by 2000 higher score. So yeah sorry. Go for the HD 5750 dude!
