What is the base price for the HD 5870 there?

Here in the US they started at $379 but were bumped to $399 due to supply and demand. That Vapor-X card is going for $409.99. A $10 bump. I guess that's not too bad for the first non-reference board card.

The most you'd pay for a non-reference 5870 is £349.99, the cheapest is 239.99, both from the same site. I thought it was worthy of mentioning.

If you take them both at pre VAT then it's £299 > £453 and with VAT £349 > £520 respectively. With the cheapest 295 at £250 pre VAT and £290 with VAT ATi is not quite the value choice.

You mean the Sapphire Vapor-X is not the value choice. Can't really generalize the whole brand based on 1 non-reference price gouging. I highly doubt that is the RRP (MSRP) for the card.

:ange: Yeah I know, I was just kidding. I have no idea what the RRP is by the way but you should have seen what that site (OCUK
