Integrated Intel® Extreme Graphics 2

What is a similar performing "non-integrated" card in nVidia or Radeon terms?

Thanks,

Stephan

IMO, Radeon 7000 or nVidia Riva 128.

None. Probably closer to a Rage 128 Pro in performance, or an nVidia Riva 128 at best. Even though it has newer features than those 6-year old cards, I doubt it would exceed them in raw performance.

I betcha Radeon 7000/geforce2 MX would be closer to an Extreme Graphics 2. You guys forget how old those cards are...

Doesn't the Extreme graphics 2 have DX8 shaders? I thought it did...

nForce2 IGP had GeForce2 MX graphics onboard and beats Intel's Extreme Grahics 2 in raw performance (ie, frames per second), even though it's DX7 technology.

It's also hard to compare Intel Extreme 2 to a 'real' card because Intel is integrated, it uses your comps processing power and RAM as well, so it drags down the performance of your whole system.

If the reason your asking is because your curious whether or not a particular game will run on your system, chances are, if it doesn't explicitly say it will, it probably won't.

My mistake, then. I must have seen some stuff on the next version of Intel Extreme and got them mixed up...
