Need a laptop - up to £1000/$1617

So i need the best laptop i can get for up to £1000 which for people in usa when i convert that to dollars it is $1617. Obviously i live in uk so any stores or websites that sell my "perfect laptop" must be able to ship to the uk.

MINIMUM specification reqirements are:
-1080p and no larger than 15.6"
-i7 quad core

For the RAM and graphics card and hard drive memory, i do not mind if they are not good on your recommended laptop as long as they are upgradable in the future.

Also, i would like this laptop do have a decent battery life. Not one of those really powerful laptops that only last for like 2 hours. That is a complete no-no!

Please do not recommended stores or laptop that no one has ever heard of.

Look at the Lenovo Y580. I don't know exactly where you can get it but it is available in the UK.

Thanks for your reply. That laptop looks pretty good. I also have been looking at the MSI GE60/70 and they seem to be very good too.

The 660m GPU is good but the 7970m is quite a bit better.

The review is of a laptop with a 7970m so you should get similar FPS to those results.

The higher end gaming laptops will be heavier though. Also this is for gaming, right?

yeah it will be used for gaming but also for heavy editting. I looked at the MSI from vids and reviews and the graphics and quality seems very good. The MSI GE60/70 also seems to be much slimmer and much more attractive.

Do you know if the MSI ge60/70 is upgradable. So if i can upgrade the graphics cards and also the ram?
