Best Student Laptop for Under £500

Hi guys, i'm just starting university in September (FROM THE UK) and I was looking for some suggestions on the best laptop that I could get for less than £500, I probably don't really want to spend more than £420-430, but if it's really worth the specs paying for the extra, then I'm willing to pay for it. It'll be used for school work and word processing, watching HD films (HDD needs to be 500gb+) and light gaming (Football Manager). The only requirement that I want is that it has a 17" screen rather than a 15" screen. Thanks alot, any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

It's an i5 laptop with 4gb of ram.
