Hello.
This is an updated PSU tier list last seen on the Newegg Egg Xpert forums seen here - http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/323050.aspx
This tier list should be taken in consideration before buying a Power Supply, just like the Egg Xpert Tier list. This tier list doesn't bias in efficiency ratings or personal opinions, this tier list is generated and tiered based on un-biased, genuine reviews from leading computer hardware reviewing teams such as TechPowerUp, Hexus, eTechnix, Tweaktown etc.
I will be adding the current tiered PSU manufactures, series etc. from the Egg Xpert forum, along with new editions. This list will be updated to keep with recommendations and avoidances from experts here and from the reviewing teams themselves. Please suggest a PSU manufacture and series to be added to the untiered list in the mean time, as some newly released PSUs may not have been reviewed right away. Also, please suggest an update on the current list, just so recommendations are accurate.
Listed updated - October 16th 2014. Please see latest post for details.

I'm talking about another thread, where the OP already put in the Thermaltake 850M. This won't be for my own build. My build will either be using an Antec HCG, or a Seasonic S12II.Both based on an older less efficient Seasonic platform than the G series. Well 2 of the higher wattage HCG models are made by Delta but still an older less efficient design.
I just thought from your posts you were looking for a good, cheap power supply and the G meets that criteria.

Well, the Thermaltake Smart series units are currently rated in tier 4. I take it that wouldn't be a decent OC'ing PSU? If so, I might want to track down the OP of that thread... he was thinking about OC'ing. What are your specs and what's your budget?
Newegg has the Seasonic G series 750w model on sale for $65 after rebate and promo code until 10/24. Great unit and plenty of power for any single and even some dual GPU setups. Almost impossible to beat the quality and wattage for the price.

I saw someone list a Thermaltake SP-850M in a build they just recently completed, and I'm having some difficulty with figuring out where it stacks up. According to HardOCP, it passes their testing; however, I don't know if that's enough to rank it. Dottorrent did say in an older thread (2013) that the SP-850M was made by Sirtec, and it should be "fine." I'm wondering where it would rank, if it ranks on here at all.The Thermaltake SP850M is not made by Sirtec. The UL file number on its label is E161451 - Channel Well Technology Co Ltd. Even the teardown shows the typical CWT characteristics (i.e. dark green colored tape on the transformer with the CWT name and part number stamped on it).
[H]ard|OCP's review stated that the ripple level is on the high side and so ranks at the rear when compared to its competing brands (e.g. NZXT HALE82 850W and Corsair TX850 v2).
I'm sure it was made by Sirtec, maybe the older models. I'm sure I found a review last year stating it was made by Sirtec.
