AMD 7770 Crossfire - Has Catalyst 13.8 Beta fixed microstutter?
I wanted to get an XFX 7770 Core Edition for my younger brother. I wanted to keep in mind that if he ever needed to upgrade I would give him another for crossfire setup.

I looked around and I noticed that people had an issue with micro stuttering because of the limited bandwidth that x4 PCIe slots have. I was wondering whether AMD has fixed this problem in the Catalyst 13.8 Beta drivers that people have been saying has 'fixed' micro stuttering?

Also, could you guys tell me how hot these Graphics cards will run if I out them in CF?

I am in Australia, just using this anyway...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Thanks for the help.

The microstutter had nothing to do with the x4 lane. It had everything to do with the drivers. You will want 13.10 beta 2. This has the frame pacing fix in it. As far performance it depends on the game. You should expect anywhere from 0-100% performance increased over one card.
