Go to the Control Panel/Hardware and Sound and finally the Sound panel. If you have HDMI Audio, there will be an icon for this. Set this as the default playback device and that should get you HDMI Audio.

i am using the razer blackshark expert 2.0 gaming headset and it works perfectly fine. Yesterday the audio worked with no problems with the hdmi cable, and i havent unplugged it since then. How do i check if there is an audio signal from the hdmi cable? And what settings for hdmi?? I downloaded realtek as a driver from the motherboard drivers page. Do i have to remove realtek and then reinstall it? Thank you for so fast response.
please enter OSD and set the volume to max.
Menu ->system setup->Volume>100
or
Reset the monitor
Menu ->system setup->Reset->Yes
If it doesn't work, please test the monitor on another computer.
if you want to know if signals coming from hdmi cable try it in another computer

Please make sure that the audio card on your computer works normally. I suggest you test it with a headphone first.
If you use HDMI, please make sure that there is audio signal from the HDMI. If there is no audio signal, the speakers will not work even if you use the audio cable. There will be two audio sources when you use the audio-in port and HDMI at the same time. To avoid conflict, the monitor will disable the audio-in port when you use HDMI. The settings for HDMI are different in BIOS and OS for different computers, so I suggest you contact the manufacturer of your computer for consultation.
If you use DVI or VGA port, please plug the audio cable into the audio port on the monitor for the other ports on your computer to work normally.
The audio-in port on the monitor
also reinstall realtek
if doesn't resolve the problem feel free to ask
