Need help with strange gpu fail
Hello guys

I just bought my MSI GX70 with switchable graphics. Between the 8650g APU and 8970m dedicated graphics card. For some reason, on all my applications, even though I selected High Performance in the Switchable Graphics menu, are definitely not up to par with what I have expected from this card. Crysis 3 (which this laptop is practically licensed to run) barely runs at 20 fps even on low graphics. I also found a strange issue. If i choose the option gaming(down in the taskbar on the right side with the battery icon) it seems that when im in game it stutters like crazy. But when i activate high performance it goes much more smoothly.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like your laptop might not have enough power to feed the graphics which would explain why you need high performance activated. You can change the normal mode to run like high performance for your graphics by going into the advanced power settings in the control panel. This will only get the smoothness of the high performance mode.

I hope this helps
