AMD HD 7670M & Intel HD 4000 Drivers?
Hey Everyone,

Quick question.
I have the latest drivers for my AMD HD 7670M but I don't have the latest drivers for the Intel HD 4000, for a specific reason.

I have the AMD Dynamic Switchable Graphics but when I update the Intel HD 4000 drivers, I lose my ability to switch between cards.

Example: I right click desktop and have an option "Configure Switchable Graphics", so I can choose between using High Performance (7670M) or Power Saver (Intel HD 4000), but when I update the Intel drivers, I lose that option all together..

Anyone know of a way around that? Is that even suppose to happen in the first place? I'm not very knowledgeable on that type of thing

Edit: Another question, is the Update Drivers feature that Windows provides reliable? Right click the device and update drivers?

A'rite Bud, I just bought a 2nd hand HP G6-2144tx, with the same graphics cards. the trick is to ONLY download the AMD HD 7670 from your laptops support site. When I went to HP support the 1st time around I downloaded & installed all compatible drivers & ended up with the same problem. On HP the driver for my AMD HD 7670 has the Intel HD 4000 integrated into that AMD driver.

So simple answer is to NOT download any Intel HD graphics if you have switchable graphics cards.

Oh and any Microsoft updated for either Intel or AMD graphics card do not install ONLY use manufactures Drivers (in my case HP)

THANKS! So just install AMD drivers and keep my present OEM HP intel drivers the way they are, right?

Your post was very helpful since I just picked up almost the same machine as you at a low price: HP G62290ca with i5 3210m + 1gb 7670m +8gbRAM. I only have Windows 8.0 on it and can only install up to 14.4whql. Do you have to upgrade to Win 8.1 to update gfx drivers to latest 14.8whql? (That's what I plan to do next).

Could you please tell which laptop model do you have?

I'm trying to have dual switchable graphics but unable to do so. My device manager doesn't show Intel HD4000 Mobile as installed. It only shows up AMD Radeon HD 7600M series. I've a 7670M. I want to use Intel as well for low performance tasks just like NVidia Optimus/Dynamic Switchable Graphics/Enduro Technology.

I'm not able to install Intel drivers as well, it says my PC doesn't meet system requirements.

Please tell a solution, anyone?
