Will my 650w PSU work with a GTX 770?
I have had this PC for a couple of years now, one that a friend of mine built, and I feel it is time to upgrade, as I want to get more into PC gaming as the new gaming generation begins. I have never tried to upgrade my gpu before, so I am pretty anxious about doing this.

I already know the gtx 770 is the one I want, and it seems to be a good match for my system, however I am still concerned with the PSU.

This is the gpu I want, and it seems to be a good deal.

The minumum psu requirement for this one seems to be 600w, so I assume it would work fine, but I've been told that there is more to it than the amount of wattage, so I am just wondering if my psu will work with this GPU.

The PSU I have is the Corsair CMPSU-650HX. It doesn't seem to have 8-pin connectors, though I was told I could use a 6+2 adaptor the GPU comes with, so I am assuming that isn't an issue, but I digress. What do you think? Is my PSU good for this gtx 770?

System:
CPU: i5 2500k, 3.3ghz
RAM: 8gb DDR3, 2 RAM cards
HDD: Seagate 500gb 5400rpm (OS host)
HDD: WD 2tb 7200rpm (Game installs)
Current GPU: XFX Radeon HD6870, Dual Fan Edition, 1gb GDDR5
PSU: CMPSU-650HX
Mobo: Maximus Gene-Z IV Z68

I hope I have supplied enough info. Replies appreciated.

Yes, your power supply is more than enough for a single 770
