Looking to Upgrade this Old But Strong PC
Hi!,

Before anything i know my pc is kinda really old but it is still going strong against any games i throw at him but i think its already time for me to move on...what you guys think i should start with? Basically i think im gonna play Elder Scrolls Online...oh and btw i dont ahve the big a budges xD... Here are the specs:

Board: MSI P35D3 PLATINUM
Bios: Version 1.6
VGA: MSI 560TI HAWK
PSU: Ultra X3 ULT40073 600-Watt Power Supply
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 Kentsfield 2.66GHz LGA 775 95W Overclocked to 3.00Ghz
MEM: Patriot 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)PDC34G1333LLK
HDD: Western Digital 500gb Sata
COOLER: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus
OS: Windows 7 64bit Professional

well thats it...as you can see the only thing kinda new i had to update was the graphics card. Thanks for your time

If you are going to upgrade, it is going to cost more for sure, so think twice be wise before you are investing money ;)

Even an i3 4130 and a GTX 750ti would be quite the leap from what you have now.

tho the list was the whole computer not just the cpu...im thinking about the i5 3570k...what about the motherboard? and do iened new memory modules too?

If you are going to upgrade you should at least get an Ivy Bridge or Haswell. Why pay all the money to upgrade the cpu/mobo/ram and upgrade it to a CPU that is already 2 generations old.

I would say, i5 3570K 3.4GHz LGA 1155 Processor is the best in i5. And as you see you need a motherboard with LGA 1155 socket as well.

so if i could upgrade let say to a I5 what board and what type of i5 should i get? i5 2500?
