Solved Forum question

my adapter shows my wpa-2 network to wep so it doesnt connect what should i do
When i connected my adapter it showed my network but for wpa-2 passphare it showed wep so i am getting trouble connecting to my network.

Check for newer drivers for your adapter. Is it an older one? If you can't even select WAP2 in the options you may need to buy a newer wifi adapter.

But my other devices mobile etc work promptly only my computer doesnt also i cant see such settings

The security specs on the adapter have to match the security specs on the router. From what you described, I'm going to presume that your router is set up for WEP. Does the adapter have a WEP option? If so, change the settings on the adapter.

WPA-2 is more secure than WEP, so if the adapter does not have a WEP option, then change the router to WPA-2.
