Gtx 660 vs 650 vs 750
Everyone is telling me to get this and that, I don't really see the difference. It's just a slight difference in frame rate and the prices increase greatly just because of that. So what is the best and what is the worst. Is it worth it? Will it run modern games for years to come?

You need to set your upper budget level, then get the card that gives you the best value. .

This is a good suggestion, after that let people give a few options.Read some reviews about those options.
It's also good to know where you're buying from,at newegg for instance is there a hd 7870 for about $140 which is a good deal imo.
If you only have a 300watt psu (?) will limit that your choice also. That same 7870 could not run from that.

We really are only here to make the Forum run smoothly, cst1992 and we check our facts before we leap in - usually. :D  It's better to put up a friendly warning rather than wielding the ban hammer in the first instance.

I personally think for an i5 2400 you should get a 760 or better. Wait for some time, save up and get a 760.

Fusi0n - in this thread you have "good specs.. i5 2400" and in various other threads you have no idea about anything at all. One even asks "is 300 watts enough"!

Honestly, when I first read this, I was looking to counter you with something. But a quick search of Graphics and Displays later, I can't. Really.

@OP
Slow down, man. Creating 100 threads is not going to help. Ask all your questions in one thread. We'll be happy to answer for you.

Thanks. How about a 750? And I do have good specs.. i5 2400

You need to set your upper budget level, then get the card that gives you the best value. Personally, I recommend the Asus GTX750Ti (which can overclock even more) unless you can find a good GTX660 for $160 or less.

My issue with the GTX750 is:
a) For $30 more you can get the GTX750Ti, and

b) It has 1GB of VRAM which I don't think is enough even at this lower performance level.

Your question is hard to answer without knowing your existing hardware specs (if you have an old/slow CPU it will bottleneck things to the point a better card may not matter).

Will it run modern games for years to come?

Well, yes and no. None of those cards will max out the quality of most modern games, though they will all give an enjoyable experience in many. The future will only get more demanding. CRYSIS 3 for example is a game already out and the MINIMUM specs are fairly high.

Here's a BENCHMARK AVERAGE: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GTX_750_Ti_OC/2...

This is created with many games, and a good CPU so as not to bottleneck things. Note that the GTX650 gets under HALF the performance of a GTX660 so it's hardly "a slight difference in frame rate".

If the GTX660 was running a game at 60FPS the GTX650 would be running at roughly 28FPS at the same settings!

Tomb Raider: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GTX_750_Ti_OC/2...

Uh, oh.. at high quality settings it's not very playable is it (30FPS is the minimum I recommend). You'd have to find a DIFFERENT set of benchmarks to see how it plays at lower quality settings but the point is NONE of the cards you mention are exactly future proof if they can't do a great job now...
