Looking to Upgrade oldish PC
Hey I have recently busted my laptop and came into possession of a Gateway GT5628 and have been dabbling into the gaming world.

I just upgraded to a S2340MC Monitor and want to utilize it as best I can with my current pc.
1920 x 1080 Max res
23" Widescreen
16:9

At this point I am in need of a an upgrade in the graphics department. The PC has a NVidia GT 8500 256MB DDR2. PCI Express 16

My system Info.
Processor: Intel® Core™2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz 2.39Ghz
Ram: 3.00 GB
System: 32-bit Operating System

I just upgraded the Power Supply to 500 Watts From 400 Watts.

So what I am looking to accomplish out of this is a definite upgrade (ram & GPU)up for to make this computer run the best it can with the available hardware.

Thanks for looking, I look forward to seeing a reply.

a 1 gig Radeon 7850 or R7 260x

GTX 750

The 32 bit OS is limiting , so more RAM on the graphics card will not help

Adding a better cooler to the cpu and overclocking to 3.0 Ghz might if the Gateway BIOS lets you do that .[ It probably wont ]
