This was God-given for me: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2122665/measure-temp...
If you don't measure your CPU temp right (like using HWMonitor) you will think that your CPU is running REALLY hot. I have an AMD A10-5800K with a Cooler Master TX3 (a pretty good cooler) and it idles at 50-60C in HWMonitor.
I don't know about the 110C (mine only hit 100 haha) and the games crashing, but first, let's use the tools on the above listed website to see what your temps really are, then we'll talk about getting a new cooler or thermal compound issues.
ok just done all that and my thermal margin is 36c is that bad or good
On idle or load?
Mine stays at about 60C at idle, and about 36C at load. UPDATE: after 10 minutes of prime95, now at 25C margin.
What does your BIOS say when you first get into it?
its is 36c under load and in my bios it saying 40c when i first go into it
That sounds perfect! I don't see why it is crashing in your games... can you describe the "crashes?" Is it just the game or the whole computer?

cleaned it out by removing the heat sink and fan, cleaning up old thermal paste and reapplying new and reassembling? I have a 5800k I purchased a year ago. last week I finally had an hour to sit down with it. the stock cooler really needs to be replaced with a quality copper based heat sink ( big copper slug though the core of the heat sink like some of the better Intel stock coolers ) or a decent all in one water loop system and a fan or two to blow around the processor area. aluminum just doesn't do it.
also check air flow through your case.
have you been messing around in the BIOS at all?
i didn't change the thermal compound i will do that asap and im think about buys either the h60 or h80 from corsair just not sure yet to go with air or water
