GTX 660 crashing
here's my rig

MSI Twin Frozr III GTX 660
i5 3570k
16gb RAM
Asus P8Z77-V LK mboard
Samsung SSD 840 series
win 8.1 OS
Driver version 337.88
3 monitor setup 1920x1020, 60Hz connected to 2 DVI + HDMI

Edit: Fatal1ty 750w psu

So I updated my driver last Friday to 335.23 before I sleep, then the next day, turned it on, everything seems working but nothing on display, I remove my video card, plugged my monitor to built in on board, it works, then I put the video card back then same thing happens, nothing on display, so I thought it was the driver that's causing the problem, plugged in again to build in, uninstall all Nvidia drivers, then put the video card back and reinstall the drivers, but same thing happens, crashes then no display, tried to downgrade the Driver version but still the same, so I reformatted my SSD, downloaded the latest driver now 337.88, still crashes when I'm playing games, but I dont need to remove and put back the Video card.

I was thinking of buying a new video card now but I thought of asking anyone here before I buy, do you think its the video card that has problem or the driver? or maybe power supply not giving enough power on my gpu? or the motherboard? Before this everything happened, everytime I play games, I hear a little noise on my video card.. is it defective?

I got the same problem, and with my googling skills I learned that if its factory overclocked, or overclocked by you, you will need to set the core voltage up. I havent done this yet because I have no clue what this would do, and I also think it will void your waranty. If your worried about the heat you can always downclock, and if it still happens I dont know what to say.

It would almost sound like a video card problem.

Any chance you can use something like Afterburner to down clock the card and see if it is any better.

The problem with display driver crashes is they can be hardware or software and looks the exact same for either.

While it is a pain, if you have no other system to test with, it may be worth getting it tested at a local shop. At least then you will know without a doubt if it is the card.

The power supply should be more than up to the task of running your system.

Can you at least see the bios on the video card?

yeah, everything seems to work fine, but when I play games, my pc restarts.. and I just tried connecting the 2 other monitors, it blacks out and then it says Display driver stopped working, freezes and now I there's no display again even I restart my pc, Driver or GPU problem?

I think it would be hard for anyone to tell you if the card is not getting enough power seeing as you did not even list the power supply.

Is the card still under warranty? Can you test it in a friends system. It would be a good way to see if the card has failed.

oh sorry I forgot to mention my power supply, its Fatality 750w, unfortunately I dont have a friend here that has a pc..
The card doesnt have a warranty from the store where I bought it, but I think it still has a warranty from the manufacturer since I just bought this last year..
