Windows 7 Installation, 2 hdd, only 1 detected
Hello, I just bought a new HDD for my pc. Now I want to install my OS again in that new HDD, and leave the actual for storing information only. But when I am at the installation of Win 7, I only see my old HDD with all it's partitions (it has like 6 partitions because I use windows+linux). Why would Win 7 installer not recognize my new HDD at this moments? I am using it for storage now, but if I try to install the OS there, then it doesn't show up. Any ideas?

Ok I will try that. It's strange because the new HDD works, I am currently using it to play my games so they run faster. But well, I think that unplugging the old one and leaving the new alone will work, though I will not be able to put the swap/pagefile partitions on the old HDD :/

Check the cables. And check BIOS to see if it detects and whether settings are right.

Or install with only the new HDD and see what happens.
