useing ssd as os storage
Hi im upgrading my pc to i7 1150 Mb and cpu, so i can sli gtx 770, i have a hdd 1 tb at mo with win 8.1. I was thinking of buying a. 250 gb ssd and install os on that instead of formatting hdd because ive read boot up is alot quicker, once i have changed Mb and cpu and booted win 8.1 onto ssd from disc could i then install my old hdd then delete the old windows from that in disc management so i could use it as seccond storage hdd, ive also thought of the ssd as os because my Mb has 3 sata 6 ports and the ssd im looking at is sata 6. I know the ssd is only 250gb but ill use it mainly just for os and the old hdd for games and other programs,

Goodness, that was hard to read.

A 250GB SSD can easily hold the OS, and all your applications, and several games. Using it for ONLY the OS leaves 3/4 of it unused.
