Can my psu handle this graphics card?
I was looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

and it says for requirements..

"600 watt or greater power supply with a minimum of 42 amps on the +12 volt rail.

Two 8-pin PCI Express power connectors or four available 6-pin PCI Express power."

Here is a link to my current PSU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

I don't believe I have the connectors that it needs but I could be wrong? Also if it doesn't can I use some type of adapter that combines 4 pins or something?

I'm more of a software person so if any hardware capable people can help me out I really appreciate it.

If you want it in more details:

For a single GTX 780 Ti, nvidia recommends a PSU of at least 600W with a minimum of one 6-pin PCIe power connector and one 8-pin PCIe power connector. The GTX 780 Ti uses a maximum TDP of 250W.

The Rosewill Xtreme RX850 is a 850W power supply with four (6+2)-pin supplementary PCIe power connectors. It also has a total current rating of 64A on the +12V rail.

So off the bat, the wattage requirement is satisfied as well as the required number of PCIe power connectors. The last thing to check (and the most important one) is the ampere rating. The GTX 780 Ti requires a minimum of 21A total current rating on the +12V rail. So numbers-wise, the PSU is more than sufficient to power a single GTX 780 Ti.

P.S.: Where did you read that it requires 42A on the +12V rail?

Looks like it should power the card, according to the specs it has four 6+2 connectors which is what you ned for the card.

Yes it can. In your PSU specifications, it says the psu has PCI-Express Connector 4X6+2 pin, a PCI-E 8 pin connector too. So, if the 4X 6 pins doesn't work out(which should work since your GPU says it need 2 PCIE 8 pin connector or 4 PCI-E 6 pin connector) you can try 6 pin to 8 pin converter. But that should be your last resort since such power arrangements is not reccomended for a GPU Also 850W is more than enough power for your rig(provided you don't have power hungry cpu).
