Crypto Mining System Help
As the title says, i need some advice on an investment i'd like to make into a Cryptocurrency Mining System.

Let's start off with this, I can invest anything around 5k Euro on this system, with this kind of money, what would be the performance output be in terms of everything crypto mining-related might be?

Would this be a sensible investment first of all? I strongly believe in cryptocurrency as of right now.

Or would it be more worth while to invest them in the currencies themselves rather than mining for them? I know i should do this type of research on my own but i'm asking for an opinion here on this question.

If any of you did try this type of endeavor, how long did it take you to break-even/ make profit?
This question is also pointed to anyone who might know the answer on how long it takes for the project to be 'feasible'.

Thanks

Hey, i am also interested in coin mining. i believe it is a more of a hoard all u get instead of selling them as u get them. as i also believe the price will go up but some of the altcoin currency will either be outlawed, hacked, or destroyed by company insiders. i am interested in building a few low energy drawing coin miners(unless i find a location where the power bill is free than by all means i would load up on some nice radeons probably the 280x(one of the many good options made by 3rd parties). i hate that i am going to get into this at such a late date. i have been an avid reader of toms hardware for years and they completely missed sharing info with us readers except to say the coin mining craze has caused the price of all AMD/Radeon cards to go out the roof(thanks for completely dropping the ball Toms hardware.
Like i said i believe if u can get a secure wallet and mine several different cooins i think down the road they should have a nice ROI in the long run. i believe cryptocoins.com or something like it has some informative numbers on card production that is well broken down. ill double check if u cant find it and go find it for u. i am currently going the cheap route and trying to implement the nvidia 750 ti GPU in an older low power computer. ill let u know the results. all i have read is that u have to join a mining group which the more successful it is the better chance it has of being hacked. there are a lot of alternatives i would not mention here since these guys have said squat about them for 3 years except the aforementioned" golly prices of those AMD cards sure has gone up", thanks again for that input toms. good luck. to sum up i am saying do mine but not to sell but to save them and hopefully u wont get hacked and the price will go up on some of them while some will fail so like a porfolio diversify.

If you do mine, get AMD cards. However, you would be lucky to be able to mine coins even to recover the power costs, let alone the hardware. All you could hope for would be if the price of the coins go up. The newer coins that use the scrypt and scrypt-N are more FPGA proof, but still are not viable.

I have a gaming computer so my hardware is already paid for so I mine Vert Coins at a slight loss. I think they will eventually go up so it is a long term investment.
